You're being excessively judgmental
Everybody does some tiny judgments about ourselves and others. It's the thing that if we use it correctly, helps us keep good company and stay alive. But when you start to become excessively judgmental or start to gossip, you're in real trouble with your ego. For your best throw out the judgments and try to be the best version of yourself.
It's hard for you to apologize
To say that you're sorry is mission impossible. Your big ego doesn't want to be damaged. This is probably the hardest thing for people with big egos to deal with. But until you don't start to apologize for your actions there is no room for progress, and your growing as a person can't continue.
Speaking badly about yourself
People would say this is something that a big ego would never do, but this is an interesting characteristic of the ego. Speaking badly of yourself, lowers expectations of others. So, when you end up doing things better than people expected, people think you're awesome. But instead of doing that, tend to be honest about yourself. Let your results speak for themselves, without lowering anybodies expectations.
Constant complaining and arguing
It's ok to complain or debate about something sometimes, but overdoing is a problem. If you decide what you want in life, what you should change, and how you'll treat people around you, your life will change. But if you keep nagging about everything and argue over nothing, your ego is probably too big. Instead of debating every little idea , start letting things go.
Acting really defensive
It's hard for you to acknowledge your own flaws. We all have weaknesses. But when your ego is too large, you can't begin to work on these things and you act really defensive everytime anyone tries to call you on it. The best thing that you can do is listen carefully and you'll begin to do things better.
